Ours first product the tulp has been subdivided in the activities: flower ball cultivation, flowers company and making bunch flowers. These three activities are not see apart from each other, but you can say that in the months of May, June and July the emphasis on the flower ball cultivation lies and in the months of October t/m. May on the flowers company. The bunch flowers department twist from January to in the middle of May.
As a cousin activity we grow zantedeschia's both in the funds and on the field behind Germaco 1. Of this we harvest flowers mainly in June and July.

Germaco cultivation season 2004-2005 125 hectares tulps fields, of what in the flevopolder 120 and in zeeuws Flanders (sea country) 5ha. The flower bulbs are mainly used for own flowers company. In October and November on the fields in sea country and the Flevopolders small flowerbulbs are planted. These develop then into the adult flowerbulb. Germaco cultivation are balls in sea country and in the flevopolder 10 ha under plastic them some advance weeks. The balls under plastic thrive as from beginning December, as a result of which is a seamless passage of the ice tulps there, with what we come as from mid- September on the market. With the Dutch bulbs we continue up to mid- June. By the end of April beginning May the tulps on the field are headed (removing flower) this way do not go the important feeding substances to the flower but to the bulbs as a result of which the bulb will grow. As from early June (under plastic) to by the end of July the bulbs are dug up (from the ground are obtained) whereupon them rinsed, dried and are peeled. At bulging  remove the old carrots of the bulb are obtained. After peeling the bulbs are sorted on size. With the small bulbs the procedure is repeated. The larger bulbs are used for the flowers company.

We use mainly bulbs of own cultivation for the flowers company. This does we because we know then of these bulbs what is the history, and we run less risk on hid lacks as sicknesses or bad bulbs contents. The bulbs that is large enough are planted on barges (to plant). This happens from September to December on  ground and the whole season on water. We have not proceeded entirely on water to grow up because some types better do it on ground. If they are planted the barges with planted bulbs go a number of weeks the cell freezes in where we imitate the winter. After a number of weeks the barges with bulbs in Germaco 2 discuss moving containers (tables) the fund. Here the increase goes which had been already started up in cell further. After approximately 3 a 4 weeks is the result a beautiful tulp. If the head of the tulp a beetje gets colour is possible he to the bunch department. Here the tulpen are picked and on a current link are laid. The current link goes along a machine which cuts the convex eraf and hereafter goes the link further to the bunch space. Here the tulps with the hand are brought to a bunch of generally ten tulps at each other. The bunches tulps are at the same time packed with five and in a tub with a little piece of water are put. The tubs are put on a hamper so that them easily be to transport. In the period September up to December goes all tulps to the different sales by auction, these are the sales by auction flora needle district, Flora Rijnsburg and VBA Aalsmeer. As from January up to and including May a part of the tulps goes to the sale by auction, the largest part is used at the flower department. Beginning September has we also still the flowers company of ice tulps. The ice tulps have to its name to the fact thank that he has stood a complete year in the cell freezes. Because this tulp has endured a special route and because there are normally spoken in September still no tulpen, to be the costs of this tulp rather high there compared with state that the turnovers also what higher is.

Among other things for the supermarket chain Tesco in the months of January up to and including May the tulps ready for sale are made. This is the foliën of the tulps , a sticker with the extreme sale date sticks and mixing the different types tulps into boxes.
